Ramsey S. Al-Azem

Ramsey S. Al-Azem works in the Houston office of Sico Hoelscher Harris. He practices on the firm’s human trafficking docket, representing survivors of sex trafficking in civil actions under the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA). Ramsey manages TVPRA cases end-to-end, with a focus on rigorous factual development, strategic discovery, and targeted motion practice designed to secure survivor-centered outcomes. He approaches this work with a trauma-informed mindset and a focus on accountability for entities that profited from or turned a blind eye to trafficking in plain sight.

Prior to joining the firm, Ramsey handled traditional personal injury litigation, including 18-wheeler crashes and catastrophic industrial injury and wrongful death cases.

A Houston native, Ramsey earned his B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. from Texas A&M University School of Law. He is licensed in Texas and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, Northern, and Western Districts of Texas.

As a fourth-generation attorney, Ramsey brings a longstanding commitment to client-centered advocacy, mindful that people seek counsel during some of the most difficult periods of their lives
